Getting PBS started!

Hello education world! Since my last post, a lot has happened!  We entered the world of PSSA (Pennsylvania System of School Assessment) testing and we currently have 1 week left of science testing for our 8th graders.  I also entered in the world of being the PBS Chair for next school year!  My AP asked me to create a “PBS Light” version to roll out for the rest of the school year.  The thought is we will work on teacher buy in and creating awareness for our students – mostly so next year isn’t a complete system change.  So far, I’ve created an into powerpoint, newsletter, committee meeting and roll-out plan.  I’ve attached these documents so you can have a look at how we are starting this GIANT process.  Its hard to really stay on a “light” plan…especially when PBS involves SO much behavior information.  I’m just working on getting the basics to everyone, incorporating POSITIVE energy and enthusiasm into the school during these last 2 months.

Tomorrow is the first meeting, all teachers and staff are invited – hopefully a strong team will develop and put some work in during the summer to start off next year strong.  Leave any feedback or ideas, i’d love to hear it! Thanks for reading!
